Little Tikes RFID Kitchens

image

Introduce your little ones to the building blocks of big brother paranoia:  Little Tikes has come out with a kitchen set where all of the plastic food items have RFID tags embedded within them.  As you pass them over the register, they get “scanned” and rung up.

Next they need a Little Tikes tinfoil hat kit and a Little Tikes $20 bill de-magnetizer!

Story is here.

The Tech-Support Generation

Here’s a good Thanksgiving article by Brad Stone of MSN:

Next week, millions of college students and young professionals will head home for the Thanksgiving holidays. We’ll sit with our families in warm, candle-lit dining rooms eating stuffed turkey, reminiscing over old photographs, preparing holiday shopping lists and … Please. Let’s be frank. We are going home to fix our parents’ computers.

Covert Family Genealogy

After getting an email from my Dad about some distant Coverts he found on the internet yesterday, I figured it was time to post the family genealogy back on the website.

I haven’t really had much of a chance to update or research the date too much since 2000, but here it is.  Hopefully I’ll be able to keep this a bit more up to date and add more to it.
