Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell: A Novel

I actually ended up buying this book (as opposed to my usual dutiful library requisitions), and it’s been well worth the $20.

Pretty darn good story, but this book’s shining spot is its unequaled style of prose.

It’s been just a delight to soak oneself in the language and mannerisms of 19th century England, with a twist of magic.
