Widespread Panic concert album for sale at iTMS

For the first time ever, iTunes is offering an entire live concert experience for sale. Widespread Panic’s pair of sold-out, year-end concerts at Phillips Arena in Atlanta, GA are now available. For the incredibly low price of $14.99 you can download up to 8 hours of music.

Joining Widespread Panic onstage during the two concerts was legendary keyboardist Chuck Leavell, who has spent the last 20 years performing with the Rolling Stones. Chuck was also the keyboardist for the Allman Brothers Band in the early ’70’s, toured with Eric Clapton, and has recorded with George Harrison, The Black Crows, Train, The Allman Brothers Band, The Indigo Girls and Blues Traveler. Chuck is a solo artist in his own right, with three critically acclaimed albums to his credit.

Also making a special appearance during the concerts is Randall Bramblett (appears courtesy of New West Records), a saxophone virtuoso who has worked with Steve Winwood, Traffic, Gregg Allman and Sea Level. His latest CD, “Thin Places,” was released February 24, 2004, and he continues to tour with the Randall Bramblett Band.

More guests included Derek Trucks (appears courtesy of Columbia Records), the celebrated guitarist and leader of the Derek Trucks Band as well as the Allman Brothers Band, Dr. Arvin Scott (who has toured with Mose Allison and is currently a professor of hand drumming at the University of Georgia as well as a former instructor at Berklee College of Music) and Count M’Butu (appears courtesy of Terminus Records), who toured with Nancy Wilson, The Manhattans, and George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic.
